“You cannot fast your way into prosperity” – David Oyedepo

Bishop David Oyedepo, founder of the Winners Chapel, has cautioned Christians that one can not fast one’s way to prosperity. He assured those who have spent their days fasting in the hope of becoming wealthy, that something like that could not happen.

The way to prosperity, according to the clergyman who tweeted, is not by denying oneself of food but by relying on God’s word.

“You cannot fast your way into your prosperity, you feed into it through the Word of God”, he tweeted.

Oyedepo stated in another post that one could be a Christian and still be in want. he says it is because the individual doesn’t see what God says.

“God is no respecter of any person but of His Word. It is very possible to be a Christian and live in lack and want. Until you see what God is saying, you remain the same. God is no respecter of persons, He only respects faith in His Word”, he added.
