Talk and Do by Jokotade Ojuolape (Official Video)
Evangelist Princess Jokotade Ojuolape, an indigene of Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria is versatility personified. Born in the fifties/’50s, an era when it was more popular to see marriage as the peak of the girl-child’s career, she stood out by becoming a guru in many fields.
She is not just a daughter, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and a professional cook, she is a professional singer, a compere at traditional weddings (alaga iduro/ijoko), an ardent football lover, she played volleyball at national level (represented the old western state), a sport organizer (karate, taekwondo, gymnastics, traditional sports, basketball, and volleyball.
Moving on, music showed up in her life as early as when she was in primary school. She did not just love to sing with unquenchable passion, she went further to represent her schools from primary school to the tertiary institution she attended. She has functioned as a chorister for many years, too. Currently she is a member of the Christ Apostolic Church.
Jokotade Ojuolape takes it a notch higher, storming the airwaves by releasing her debut single titled – ”Talk and Do”. The new single is set to translate the listener’s experience to another level because as you listen to enjoy the music, the lyrics find expression in your life. For her, Heaven is the beginning point because there are limitless opportunities awaiting her musically.
Seeing that the human race has had its fair share of life’s drama in recent times, there is no better time than now to deepen our hope and heighten our faith, by trusting God to keep to His promise – “He will never leave us nor forsake us, that we may boldly say the Lord is our Helper, we will not fear what man can do to us”.
Coming from a veteran singer, who has had many occasions to prove the originality of God’s personality, the One who talks Accor to His ability, capacity and capability, she can declare boldly that He says what He means, and He means what He says.
In her words: “God cannot fail, He cannot lie, He cannot change”.
