A few years ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to hear Courtney King (songwriter) share the chorus of this song. Right away, I knew it was something special! I found myself continuously humming the tune over and over again! It’s so simple, yet incredibly encouraging. This song has so many relatable elements and almost has a hymn-like flow to it. It reminds us that every day we’re given reason after reason why the Lord is worthy of our highest and best devotion. 

The song highlights various attributes of God’s unwavering word, “He’s the same yesterday, now and forever.” “Oh, my soul gives thanks unto the Lord.” The song also reminds us of His character, what He’s done, and what He will also do: “Healer”, “Deliver”, and “Mighty God“.
